Enjoy within 3 days of receiving or please put in freezer in same package it arrived in to keep absolute freshness intact. To thaw, take out the night before or 2 -3 hours before, put in 400 degree preheated oven for 5-10 minutes.

It’s hard to find pastries with custard – this the almond marzipan is unlike pastry found elsewhere in Santa Barbara. My Mom almost could find the best bakery in town blindfolded – she introduced me to Andersen’s and am always pleased with whatever is in the bakery case. Kudos to the owner and staff.

I grew up in Santa Barbara and went to SBHS at the same time as Charlotte – and envied that she got to live among the magical belly warming goodies at the bakery. I always was so thrilled to indulge in an Andersen’s butterring. It is as near to pastry perfection as is possible. The last time I visited Santa Barbara, I brought two butterrings back to Ohio to brag to my friends about yet another amazingly “better than anywhere else” thing about my homeland. I went to UCSB, graduated in 2002, and I still salivate just imagining the butter ring. I currently live in NC, and there is literally no better pastry on the planet, so I am ordering my butter ring for my birthday this weekend!! I am so grateful they will ship! Have loved you guys for 25 years! The only thing better would be an in-person visit.
