Be part of Santa Barbara history. Join us for a 10 minute film about the history of The Andersen’s Danish Bakery and Restaurant in Santa Barbara.
Learn about the founders Mr. Alfred Andersen and Mrs. Birte Andersen and the tradition of authentic Danish pastries and European food that started almost 50 years ago, which continues on today with the Andersen’s family, Birte and daughter Charlotte, who has been part of the bakery her entire life.
Come with us on a journey from the past in Denmark to present day Santa Barbara and see how The Andersen’s became a landmark that is known for great food and amazing desserts on beautiful State Street. The Andersen’s Bakery first opened on Milpas Street in 1976 then moved to 1106 State State Street, where it is still located today. Family owned and women run, The Andersen’s strive to give you a wonderful dining experience and also caters many events in town.
We are known for our elegant wedding and birthday cakes, Danish pastry such as butterrings and kringles, seasonal decorated cookies, delicious breakfast, lunch & dinner menu, extensive wine menu, and even doggie treats for your pup friends.
